Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR, including positioning, sterile technique, and instrumentation handling
• Assist with procedures as circulating or scrub nurse as assigned; maintain accurate instrument counts and ensure equipment readiness
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively; observe for anesthesia-related changes and respond promptly to any concerns
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team to support safe, efficient case flow and patient outcomes
• Uphold patient safety and infection control standards; participate in room turnover and equipment maintenance
• Document intraoperative care in the electronic chart; ensure accurate and timely records
• Participate in call coverage, including weekends and holidays, as required

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Level 1 trauma experience
• High rating on skills checklist, including neuro and vascular capabilities
• Competence with electronic scheduling/tools and apps; specifically Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard; access to electronics to use these tools
• Ability to work in a hospital OR setting; 10-hour day shifts with call coverage and weekend/holiday requirements
