Head of Project Management

Red Book Connect is looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to administer IT projects for across its Enterprise. This is a full‑time ongoing position that will require considerable knowledge of, and hands‑on experience with, project planning, coordinating, tracking, and reporting. This position requires strong experience in handling multiple, concurrent projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIMARY WORK PERFORMED

Applies professional quality project management expertise to managing multiple concurrent information technology‑related projects.

Performs all activities in the entire project life cycle, including plan development, task definition, forming project teams, coordinating and meeting with stakeholders and participants, monitoring progress, seeing projects through to completion, status reporting, and project documentation.

Implements best practices for planning and coordinating projects.

Develops and monitors project budgets.

Proactively and assertively addresses issues as they arise.

Coordinates with staff at various levels across different departments and with vendors and consultants, as directed.

Coordinates with vendors and their project managers on project plan development, implementation, and deployments, as needed.

This position requires multi‑tasking, teamwork, effective communication skills and providing good customer support.

Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an information technology‑related field

Minimum of three years of experience of direct IT project management, preferably involving multiple concurrent projects.

Minimum of two years of hands‑on experience using Microsoft Project; experience with Microsoft SharePoint a plus.

Solid understanding of project management concepts, terminology, practices, procedures; and, computer and network technologies, services, concepts, and terminology.

Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals, including negotiation skills.

Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources.

Remains composed under stress and takes personal responsibility for delivering on personal and organizational commitments.

Solid problem‑solving skills and ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities in a focused manner.
