Up to $190,000 base salary with additional bonus opportunity Senior-level role with autonomy and ownership over sophisticated, high-exposure matters Work with a respected Texas litigation firm and an experienced bench of seasoned trial attorneys Handle substantive third-party insurance defense litigation rather than routine, low-level file work Direct interaction with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and the court Meaningful opportunities for depositions, mediations, hearings, case strategy, and trial Strong support structure that allows experienced attorneys to focus on practicing law Long-term opportunity to continue growing your practice and reputation within an established firm Job Details Job Details: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its Dallas litigation team and handle a sophisticated docket of third-party insurance defense matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an established defense litigator who is comfortable independently managing cases while still having access to experienced partners, strong support, and the resources of a respected Texas litigation firm. Independently manage third-party defense matters from initial assignment through resolution Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and settlement opportunities Draft and argue substantive motions and handle court appearances Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives Attend mediations and negotiate settlements Work directly with insurance carriers and other sophisticated clients Prepare matters for trial and participate in trials as appropriate Supervise and collaborate with associates, paralegals, experts, and support staff Maintain clear, strategic communication with clients throughout the life of each matter Ideal Background: 7 years of civil litigation experience Strong background in third-party insurance defense Experience handling matters such as general liability, premises liability, transportation/trucking, construction, catastrophic injury, or other complex casualty litigation Ability to independently manage a litigation docket Strong deposition, motion practice, mediation, and case strategy experience Trial experience is highly valued Active Texas Bar license Interested in hearing more?
