Location: Remote 100%
Extendable contract
Candidate must be comfortable working one weekend (Saturday or Sunday). - 3 Years of outpatient coding and must have experience as Emergency room coder.
We are seeking experienced Certified Medical Coders with strong outpatient acute care coding experience for a remote contract opportunity.
Perform accurate outpatient, and ED medical coding
Ensure compliance with payer, federal, and coding guidelines
Research and resolve coding-related issues
Utilize EPIC and 3M/HDS coding applications effectively
CCS or RHIA, RHIT, CCP certification required
Minimum 3 years of medical coding experience
Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding
Experience with EPIC and 3M/HDS systems
Acute care hospital coding experience
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient coding
ED coding experience
RHIA, RHIT, CCP, or related credentials preferred
High School Diploma or GED required
