Job Description:

- Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Montana Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider certification (recertification every 2 years).
• Complete Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate or equivalent AWHONN approved course (not required for Lactation RNs).
• American Heart Association ACLS (not required for Lactation RNs).
• Competency in modified primary nursing.
• Initial 2 hours of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education.
• If Lactation RN: Certification in lactation consulting/counseling (CLC, IBCLC).

- Preferred:
- One year of labor and delivery experience.
- Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health.
• Analyze data to determine diagnoses.
• Develop personalized care plans.
• Implement effective strategies to promote health and safety.
• Enhance the quality of nursing practice.
• Evaluate personal nursing practices against professional standards.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Integrate ethical provisions and research findings into practice.
• Provide leadership in the professional setting.

• Exhibit sound judgment, patience, and professionalism.

- Schedule Requirements:

• Regular attendance is essential for this role.
• May require working beyond a standard 40-hour week, including weekends and after-hours.
• On-call work may be necessary to address organizational, patient, or employee needs.

- Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and safely maneuver patients.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, twist, and reach as needed to provide care.
• Demonstrate fine motor skills for tasks requiring precision.
• Maintain visual acuity for data analysis and patient care.
• Sustain cognitive focus to manage workflow and make timely decisions.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and various medical substances.
