Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift hospital position requiring Level 3 NICU skills and acute care experience across ICU, Med Surg, and ER.
Details

• Respiratory care unit spanning ICU, Med Surg, ER, and NICU settings
• 160-bed unit staffed by approximately 32 respiratory therapists
• Night shift staffing minimum of 4-4.5 RTs, day shift minimum of 5-6
• Patient assignments managed through an RVU system
• Equipment includes PB and Drager V500 ventilators, Aerogen nebulizers, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport ventilators, oscillators, jet ventilators, nitric oxide therapy, and bubble CPAP
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36-hour work week
• Weekend rotation required every other Saturday and Sunday
• No on-call requirements

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy specialty
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
Level 3 NICU skills required
Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU required
Experience managing BiPAP, ventilators, and heated high flow units required
Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies required
Proficient EMR charting skills required
No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
License required if applicable
Additional Information

Provide respiratory care across ICU, NICU, Med Surg, and Emergency Department settings
Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
Manage varying patient loads and higher acuity cases with strong time management skills
Work independently and demonstrate self-motivation
Willingness to work in a Level 3 NICU setting required
