Based in Bloomington, California, Retrofit Technology specializes in all aspects of commercial HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and service. We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our growing team and support mechanical and HVAC retrofit projects across Southern California.
This position is based out of Bloomington, CA and requires frequent travel to job sites throughout the region. A daily per diem is provided and hotel accommodations are covered by the company when overnight stays are necessary.
The Pipe Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing piping systems for commercial and industrial HVAC applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multiple welding methods and piping materials, values safety and quality, and can work both independently and as part of a field crew.
Weld and assemble piping systems using various methods (TIG, MIG, stick, brazing, soldering, etc.).
Perform rigging, demo, and installation work on HVAC retrofit projects.
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• 3+ years of experience in pipe welding or mechanical retrofit environments.
• Soldering or brazing copper pipe
• Welding carbon or stainless steel pipe
• Ability to pass a pipe welding test (administered at our Bloomington shop).

Skilled at reading and following mechanical drawings and specifications.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Southern California.
Hourly wage: $30 - $50 per hour (based on experience and certification)
