Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU (Weekend Night Shift)

Neuro Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15). Mandatory weekend shifts every other weekend.
We are seeking a Neuro Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse with a strong background in neuro critical care. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including strokes, craniotomies, and seizure management.
Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care for neuro patients with a focus on managing acute strokes and post-surgical needs.
Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including blood products and continuous sedation.
Perform ICP monitoring and manage external ventricular drains (EVDs) and lumbar drains.
Interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmia care.
Maintain isolation precautions and PPE protocols as required.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit.
ACLS and BCLS certifications required; NIH certification preferred.
Strong understanding of neuro critical care management and treatments.
Experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and ICP monitoring is essential.
Must be comfortable with patient-to-nurse ratios of 2:1, potentially flexing to 3:1 in high census situations.
