Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse, Neuro/Ortho/Trauma Specialty Portland, ME. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to neurosurgical patients, including spinal surgeries, brain tumors, seizure disorders, VP shunts, head bleeds, traumatic injuries, and joint replacement surgeries. The role requires a proactive team approach, with responsibilities aligned to supporting critical patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro/Ortho/Trauma
Location: Portland, ME
Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: No specific certification required; neuro experience required; education modules as applicable; open to candidates with minimal experience (0 years minimum)
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to neurosurgical and trauma patients, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in neuro or neurosurgical units is advantageous
Additional Information: Must have neuro/neurosurgical experience; proactive team player with a positive attitude; maintain professional appearance in scrubs; available to start 11/09/2026 and work through 02/08/2027.
