Job Description
Take your nursing experience on the road with a 13-week MedSurg/Tele travel contract in San Luis Obispo. Working 12-hour night shifts, you’ll care for a varied patient population ranging from surgical, orthopedic, and medical cases to higher-acuity cardiac and stepdown patients following procedures such as catheterization, pacemaker placement, PCI, TAVR, and CABG. The assignment also includes caring for patients experiencing sepsis or respiratory distress, with occasional BiPAP or CPAP needs.
You’ll work with Cerner, Phillips telemetry, and a monitor technician while reading your own strips. Common drips include amiodarone, heparin, Cardizem, fixed-rate insulin, nitroglycerin, and renal-dosed dopamine. Nurses float between the 300 unit and the main unit, with a six-hour floor-specific orientation. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Pack your navy scrubs and get ready for a coastal California assignment with a broad range of clinical experience.
