East Jefferson General Hospital (EJGH), part of LCMC Health, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our growing Hospital Medicine team as a Full-Time Nocturnist Hospitalist.

As a Nocturnist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality inpatient care during overnight hours while working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

Full-time nocturnist schedule
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for hospitalized patients
Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients across a variety of medical conditions
Collaborate closely with specialists, nursing staff, case management, and ancillary teams
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and rapid patient assessments
Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
Patient Care
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based inpatient medical care
Assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor acute and chronic medical conditions
Coordinate care with consultants and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
Participate in an equitable physician call and coverage schedule
Support patient throughput and continuity of care initiatives
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient safety standards
Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and accreditation requirements
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Training
~ Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program

Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Louisiana medical license
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Proficiency with electronic medical records
Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
