Job Description:
Bon Secours - St. Francis Downtown is seeking a locum Physician specializing in Medical Oncology to join their practice at a free-standing Cancer Center. The position involves outpatient and inpatient oncology care focusing on adult and geriatric patient populations. The physician will participate in tumor boards, manage bone marrow transplants, and prescribe chemotherapy treatments, with support from Nurse Oncologists for administration. The practice includes approximately 25 outpatient and 20 inpatient patients daily, with no call duties during the locum period. The typical call schedule resumes if the position transitions to permanent, estimated at one week out of every 6-8 weeks.

Practice Setting: Free-Standing Cancer Center
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric Oncology Patients
Clinical Focus: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology
EMR System: EPIC
Number of Physicians: 7
APPs Providing Coverage: 6
Documentation Requirements: Participation in tumor boards, management of blood disorders, and ordering tests/imaging
Reimbursement & Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $19.50

Additional Information:
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
