Occupational Therapist Driving Rehab

Overview The Occupational Therapist will provide occupational therapy services that complement Applied Behavior Analysis at Verbal Beginnings. The Occupational Therapist will contribute to targeted services in Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, and Mental Health. Collaboration with the supervising BCBA, behavior therapists, and other ancillary providers will be key to fostering positive working relationships and ensuring effective service delivery. Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapist, you will:
Provide age-appropriate care for clients from infants to young adults
Assess clients' home, community, and school environments, making adjustments to support skill generalization
Recommend and assist clients and caregivers with appropriate equipment for daily activities
Create rehabilitation programs to help clients regain fine motor skills
Develop and implement treatment plans based on valid prescriptions and Verbal Beginnings' policies
Evaluate clients' physical and mental health, set treatment goals, and adjust programs as needed
Create individualized care plans, documenting progress for the interdisciplinary team
Maintain accurate client records and ensure proper billing and documentation
Safely use departmental equipment for client care
Ensure the quality and effectiveness of occupational therapy services
Supervise occupational therapy assistants as needed
Participate in interdisciplinary training and oversee training for interns
Engage in training activities and research at various levels, including curriculum development and publications
Deliver an average of 30 hours per week of direct occupational therapy services
This role will work within the centers. Settings may sometimes operate in clients' homes, in the community, or in the professional office environment.

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

• Passing grade on the National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy Exam
• Current license as Occupational Therapist in state of practice
