Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - Travel - (ER RN) - Day Shift

RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. 750 referral bonus available.

RN - ED

Provide inpatient-level nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed

• Work 12-hour shifts with scheduling patterns including weekdays and/or weeknights based on coverage needs
• Night shift: Sunday night through Thursday night schedule
• Day shift: Monday through Friday schedule
• Patient ratio up to 4:1 with patients including telemetry monitoring, IV medications, post-procedural care, or general inpatient medical-surgical needs
• Care specifically for admitted boarder patients located within the Emergency Department
• Not expected to take regular ED patient assignments but may care for patients of varying acuity consistent with skill set
• May be required to temporarily provide care in another unit within clinical competency if organizational needs change
• Recent inpatient medical-surgical experience required
• Active RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Fast-paced Emergency Department setting with collaboration among ED physicians, hospitalists, ICU teams, and inpatient services
