HR/Payroll Generalist - Compliance and Payroll

LDRM is a joint venture between two companies, DTSV and Lockwood Hills, a subsidiary of Akima. At LDRM, we streamline the review, validation, compliance, and submission of virtually any government-specific system application that enables our customers to achieve predictably lower costs, greater information security, leaner operations, and more effective digital government. LDRM specializes in background investigation support, records management, business automation and optimization, and administrative support. LDRM is searching for a Human Resources Specialist for the National Visa Center (NVC) in Portsmouth, NH. This position is customer service focused within a union environment. It is a great opportunity for someone driven in Human Resources with a strong desire to support employees and a background in generalist duties. This position requires professionalism in Human Resources and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment as part of an HR team.

This position is on-site.
Provide Human Resources guidance and support to supervisors and management.
Ensure the onboarding process is complete for new hires and in compliance with company guidelines
Conduct new hire orientation.
Coordination with HR Manager, Payroll, and Operations to ensure that pay and status changes are submitted timely.
Responsible for reporting workers' compensation claims.
Process referral bonuses and educational reimbursement requests.
Maintain company policies adhering to local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations while meeting contractual requirements and obligations
Respond to employee and customer questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of DTSV as part of LDRM (a Joint Venture of 2 companies)
Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and the Service Contract Act (SCA).
Assist with employee relation request.
Prepares termination documents in support of involuntary terminations; Make recommendations/determinations on ADA requests in conjunction with HR Operations and Operations Management
Provide current and prospective employees with information about company policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and ensure proper exit information (pay, benefits, security clearance, as examples) is provided. Assist HR Manager on any projects, as assigned
3-5 years of HR Generalist experience

• Experience using a variety of online recruitment tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience
• Decisive ability to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic fast paced work culture
• Strong understanding of the recruiting aspects involved in the Government proposal environment as well as with unions
• Ability to work with minimal supervision is essential
• Mainly office, but may also include all other work environments as required.
