Registered Nurse Urgent Care - Weekends

Registered Nurse (RN) - Birth Center
As a Registered Nurse, in our Birth Center, you will provide direct professional nursing care for maternal and newborn patients by utilizing nursing knowledge and critical thinking skills. Performs technical nursing functions, utilizes the nursing process to assess patient status, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care. Ensures a therapeutic and safe environment for patients and families within the guidelines and policies of the department and the philosophy of the organization. This position provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for neonate, adolescent, and adult patients.
Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is: RN ASN, $42.70-$62.79; RN BSN, $44.41-$65.30; RN MSN, $46.18-$67.91. Uses professional judgement and critical thinking to prepare, prioritize and execute the patient's plan of care consistent with patient assessment data and physician's treatment plans and professional standards of evidence-based practice.
Directs and delegates support personnel in implementing patient's plan of care, provides supervision and guidance.
Implements nursing interventions to achieve progress toward expected patient outcomes or to stabilize a patient's condition and / or prevent complications.
Renders professional nursing care including administering medications, starting intravenous fluids and blood products.
Performs all technical skills required for unit patient population such as, but not limited to IV venipuncture, restraint application, sterile dressings, etc.
Evaluates and documents patient's response to nursing care and modifies or revises treatment plans, and / or contacts physicians as circumstances require.
Provides and documents patient / family education based on diagnosis, treatment plan or prescribed medical regimen in accordance with patient / family readiness and ability to learn.
Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, in good standing
Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring(or willingness to obtain within 6 mo, company paid)
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written English
RN experience in OB/Labor and Delivery, preferred
Shifts may include: 7:00 a.m. - Weekend rotation: Flex position with no set weekend rotation; scheduled no more than two out of every six weekends.
~ Holiday requirements: Scheduled to work two out of every six holidays and never two consecutive holidays.
