We are currently seeking a Prep Cook at our Houston-Buffalo Speedway community. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the cook and Chef in the preparation of food items along with maintaining a high-quality sanitation standard. The line cook must follow all safety and sanitation procedures and uphold all kitchen standards set by the chef. The Prep Cook/Utility Team Member reports directly to our Executive Chef who oversees day to day operations of the community's Food & Beverage department.

Preps all food items as directed in a sanitary manner following standard recipes & procedures within specified time

Follows recipes, portion control and prep specifications as set by the Chef

cut and/or portion all food items as specified by prep sheets and Chef

Stock/Restocks items online

Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, & organizational skills

Has knowledge to properly use & maintain all equipment

Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, & organization of kitchen, walk in coolers, & and all storage areas

Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standard & any additional sanitary measures including sweeping the floors, cleaning of surfaces, as well as proper covering & storage of food items according to SOPs

Understands and complies with food safety & temperature standards

At least one year of experience cooking in a restaurant setting

Food Handler Permit

Criminal record clearance

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
