Head of Project Management

As a Project Manager reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end execution of a diverse portfolio of small‑scale projects, typically valued at under $1 million . You are responsible for ensuring these projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining high quality standards and client satisfaction.

Align with sales and application/solutions teams to identify high‑level requirements and impacted stakeholder groups, define the project scope, and lead the project kickoff with internal and external resources.

Execution: Lead internal and external project teams to safely complete project work within established timelines, coordinating mechanical/electrical installations, automated system commissioning, software & IT integration, customer training, and go‑live & stabilization activities.

Budget Management: Track actuals and forecasted spend, managing and reporting on project financials.

Scope: Ensure scope is managed and any changes follow PMO change‑management protocols.

Quality: Verify project deliverables achieve expected outcomes and maintain high‑quality standards.

Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and resolve problems, managing issue and risk processes.

Change Management: Partner with stakeholders to integrate change‑management best practices and frameworks, ensuring sustainability of implemented solutions.

Bring together groups to chart the best course for project success.

Ensure customer satisfaction through final acceptance, handover to aftermarket/service, and actively share lessons learned.

Organize project teams by assigning responsibilities, developing schedules, and determining resource requirements.

Perform business analysis and draft formal requirements to align scope, solutions, resources, timelines, and costs.

Collaborate with solution teams to estimate project phases and allocate tasks to meet cost and time targets.

Execute established project plans, monitoring ongoing progress and performance against defined milestones.

Identify and coordinate workstreams, orchestrating collaboration across the project team.

Monitor the status of projects, including cost, timing, and staffing.

Identify and resolve obstacles to completing projects on time and within budget.

Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.

Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring seamless integration and high service standards.

Deliver projects on time and within budget while serving as the primary client contact for quality and specifications.

Forecast project financials and resource utilization while managing revenue models and cost‑to‑completion projections.

Manage issues, risks, and changes using agreed‑upon processes and tools.

Assist with defining and leading change management associated with a project.

Support Customer Experience Center through customer and partner visits, and center maintenance/cleanliness.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, General Business, Management or similar studies.

Required: 2+ years of experience in Project Management, Project Engineering, or a similar field.

Experience running multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion.

Experience with logistics & material handling robotics and automation projects (e.g., Proven ability to drive projects from concept through completion with minimal guidance.

Familiarity or experience working with continuous improvement specialists to deliver projects.

Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites as necessary.

Must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Atlanta, GA.

Computer Skills

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Expert in Microsoft Excel (deep knowledge of formulas and data analysis).

Intermediate skills with team productivity tools (SharePoint, Smartsheet).

Experience with project management tools.

High motivation, self‑starter, excellent follow‑up, teamwork with front line employees, middle management, and executives.

Language Skills

Ability to express understanding and empathy when dealing with customers.
