Warehouse AssociateDaikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Warehouse Associate position for our branch operations group located at our Corpus Christi, TX branch. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for off-loading, put-away, picking and staging of equipment and parts while providing professional quality customer service to all internal and external customers. The warehouse associate is accountable for the movement of all materials within the warehouse and overall appearance while ensuring to meet all safety protocols.Why work with us?Benefits are effective on day one for all full-time direct hires.Training programs are available to help guide team members and develop new skills.Growth Opportunities - there are immense opportunities to grow your career.You will be part of a Global Company - our family brands are backed by Daikin Industries, Ltd.Position Responsibilities may include:Safely and efficiently operate forklift and additional warehouse equipment to load/unload/transfer material and product without causing damage within the warehouse and to/from delivery trucksEnsure all items are received per procedure and stocked in assigned locationsMaintain Inventory and Prepare Cycle CountsComplete Will CallsResponsible for timely and accurate completion of paperwork and transaction entriesProper PPE and uniform must be worn at all times during each shiftMaintain warehouse and forklift by following good housekeeping and safety procedures including pre and post shift forklift inspections. Alert manager of any concerns immediately.Assist Customers and CSRs as neededFollow standard operating procedures, established work processes and Company policiesPerform additional tasks as requiredNature & Scope:Works within well-defined instructionsUses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasksWork is closely supervisedKnowledge & Skills:Effective verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail and surroundingsBasic Computer skills including data entry to process transactions and generate reports and ordersAbility to successfully process (ex. Loading and Unloading) productsAbility to operate a forklift safely and work in a fast-paced warehouseAbility to pass Prove It and driving testMust be eligible to be forklift certified in house within 30 daysAbility to understand and follow work instructions, policies and proceduresBe dependable, work well in a team environment, and establish positive working relationships with employees and customersExperience:1 plus years of warehouse experience1 plus years industrial forklift experience strongly preferred.Education/Certification:High School diploma or GEDMust have Valid driver's licensePeople Management: NoPhysical Requirements / Work Environment:Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs or lift lighter items repetitively or perform 2 man lifts for heavier items.The ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.Reports To: Supervisor, WarehouseQualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
