Key Responsibilities

Personal Care (ADLs): Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.

Mobility & Safety: Helping patients transfer (bed/chair), walking, repositioning, and preventing falls.

Health Monitoring: Measuring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and reporting changes in condition to supervisors.

Household Support: Performing light housekeeping (laundry, dishwashing), grocery shopping, and meal preparation.

Medication Management: Reminding patients to take medications.

Companionship & Transport: Engaging in activities and accompanying clients to appointments. Humana+4

Job Requirements

Certification: HHA or CNA license/certification preferred, with some employers requiring specific state-approved training.

Experience: Often 2+ years of in-home care experience is required, particularly for specialized or high-acuity cases.

Skills: Strong communication skills, compassionate demeanor, and ability to follow care plans.
