Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $30.25 - $30.25 Hourly

Summary The Driller is primarily responsible for operating and repairing drilling equipment; and supervising a work crew. The driller is also responsible for executing the drilling program in a safe and efficient manner under the direct supervision of the Rig Manager.

Acts as the liaison between Rig Manager and crew communicating any issues or concerns during hitch.

Understands and demonstrates the safe handling, proper application, and proper disposal of drilling fluids.

Ensures all equipment is properly maintained.

Conducts periodic inspections of the rig and rig location, identifying issues regarding safe and efficient operations of the rig, and makes timely recommendations to rectify any noted problems.

Advise the Rig Manager of changing well condition and severe weather conditions or other environmental factors that would inhibit operations.

Qualifications Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and meet the requirements of the Falcon Drilling Motor Vehicle Policy

3-5 years previous drilling rig experience with at least 6 months experience as an Assistant Driller or equivalent experience deemed sufficient by management.

Working Knowledge of air compressors and boosters used for air drilling

Working Knowledge of mud pumps used for fluid drilling.

Operations could also involve prolonged exposure to wet or damp conditions i.e., 12-13 hours/day, 14 days on/ 14 days off rotation

Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 80 pounds frequently
