Senior Software Engineer
Senior Software Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Austin, Texas). Work with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions. Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning. Build software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders. Understand technical architecture and write software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards. Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products. Actively work with less-experienced software engineers providing technical guidance and oversight. Actively participate in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization.
Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years of experience in designing, coding, testing, correcting, and documenting programs and scripts from agreed specifications, and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools.
Designing, developing, and implementing of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems.

In lieu of a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and experience or graduate-level coursework as stated.
Must have experience or graduate-level coursework in the following:
Ensuring adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards or practices;
Establishing standards and procedures across the technology service lifecycle (including the development lifecycle) in the areas of systems integration and testing and ensuring adherence;
Managing application enhancements to improve business performance;
Creating applications from conception and design to implementation and support;
Managing web hosted applications using a modern cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP);
Working with Agile application development practices; Analyzing data and working with SQL and relational databases
