Job Opportunity – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Western North Carolina Start Date: September 21, 2026
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend requirement, holiday support rotation included. Floating to other units may be required based on hospital needs.
10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with ICU patient ratios of 2:1 and PCU ratios of 4-5:1

• Work with advanced critical care equipment including ventilators, targeted temperature management (TTM) systems, lift equipment, and IV pumps
• Electronic documentation using Cerner EMR system
• Charge nurse out of staffing model; 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RNs per shift
• structured shift scheduling
• Collaborative team environment in a large, well-equipped facility

Active RN license (or compact/multi-state license)
Medical ICU experience in a large acute care facility required
Strong competency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
Proficiency with critical care pharmacology including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
Experience with central line management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
