At Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse, our Barbacks are the engine behind the bar. They're stocking, cleaning, anticipating, communicating, moving, and solving problems before most people even realize there was a problem. When the bar is packed and everything is running smoothly, there's probably a great Barback somewhere behind it making that happen.

No previous restaurant or bar experience is required. This position pays hourly plus tips, with full-time and part-time opportunities available. And for the right person, this position can become a pathway to training behind the bar.

Your job is to keep the bar moving. Ice is getting low. A bartender is burning through a particular bottle. The bar gets slammed. You're stocking. And while much of what you do happens behind the scenes, your work directly affects every guest sitting at the bar. When you're great at this job, bartenders can focus more of their attention on taking care of guests because they know you're taking care of them. That's hospitality too.

You help without keeping score. You understand that no task is beneath you when it helps the team succeed. If you eventually want to become a bartender, even better. But first, we want you to become an exceptional Barback.

Keep the bar stocked with ice, glassware, beverages, liquor, beer, garnishes, and supplies. Anticipate what bartenders need before they have to ask. Clear and clean glassware and bar areas quickly. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked work areas. Change kegs and assist with other beverage-related tasks. Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the bar. Help prepare the bar before service and reset it after service. Communicate continuously with bartenders, servers, managers, and other team members. Jump in wherever needed when the bar gets busy. Learn how a professional, high-volume bar operates from the inside.

Comfortable receiving direction and coaching. Willing to help teammates without being asked. Physically capable of handling the demands of a busy bar environment. Interested in learning the hospitality business. Working as a Barback gives you an opportunity to learn the rhythm of a bar before you're responsible for running one. You'll learn how experienced bartenders communicate and prioritize. Most importantly, you'll learn hospitality. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Day shifts: approximately 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Night shifts: approximately 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Availability for nights, weekends, and busy shifts is important.
