Cashier Associate-Full Time-University Store

We are hiring a cashier position to perform clerical tasks associated with community pharmacy practice, including greeting patrons, performing cash and charge transactions, preparing cash outs and deposits, and general store merchandising.
Performs a variety of clerical duties to receive and disburse cash from and to customers and employees.
Posts transactions, counting money, issues change, cashes checks, prepares deposit slips and balances accounts.
Assists with general store merchandising.
Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks. Other duties and projects assigned by supervisor.
Ability to perform a wide range of physical activity: lifting, pulling, bending, manual dexterity movements. Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English. Must exhibit good communication skills in dealing with patients and/or families, who may have compromised health or language barriers and with other members of the health care team. Entry level for degreed individuals, or equivalent combination.
Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of field of specialization.
Demonstrated record of excellence with direct customer interaction and collaboration with a team.

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. This is a full-time position. Hours depend on the community pharmacy operational hours. Shifts start as early as 8:30am and end as late as 6:00pm. Rotation among work locations may be required based on operational needs. The locations for which the employee may rotate through include Brighton Center for Specialty Care, East Ann Arbor Health Center, Taubman Center, Rogel Cancer Center, and Kellogg Eye Center.
