Due to its proximity to Hartford Hospital, this clinic combines elements of a traditional orthopedic clinic with a strong focus on community health and management of multiple health conditions. Patients often present with multiple comorbidities, persistent pain, and higher levels of medical complexity, requiring strong clinical reasoning, advanced evaluation skills, and the ability to identify when referrals to physicians or other providers are appropriate. This is a high-skill, high-cognition environment where therapists must be comfortable working in teams to manage complex cases rather than low complexity orthopedic conditions alone. Identifying when patients require referrals to physicians, specialists, or other healthcare providers.Collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.Working with PT, PTA, OT, and Audiology counterparts to deliver high-quality careThis clinic has an emphasis on a team-based approach and has a strong culture of learning, teaching, mentoring, and innovation.
