Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

DC Operations ManagerThe DC Operations Manager partners with the DC Director and other managers within the Distribution Center to develop, implement and maintain strategies that drive continuous improvement and improve the operational function of the Distribution Center. Additionally, the DC Operations Manager must be knowledgeable in all facets of the Distribution Center (DC), overseeing one or more of the following areas: Inbound Operations (Receiving and Reclamation), Replenishment, Outbound Operations (Selection, Shipping and PDQ, E-Commerce), Transportation, Customer Service Associates, and General Office Associates.Responsibilities:Communicate with DC General Manager / DC Director and other managers to discuss and review work methods, procedures, staffing, volume of work and short-term and long-term results.Maintain a strong working relationship with management team and corporate partners.Coach, train and develop management team by providing both informal and formal performance-based feedback.Consistently monitor all safety procedures and ensure that all corresponding personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized.Essential Job Skills:Ability to perform basic clerical and physical tasks.Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.Supervisory and time management skills.Microsoft Office. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.Requirements:Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.At least 5 years of prior leadership experience in a warehouse related field.Knowledge of AS/400 and all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays when needed.Ideal Candidates:Comfortable with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.Willingness to continue to evolve and develop personal skills to meet the changing environment.Certificates, Licenses:Willing to get powered equipment certification.While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to high places, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
