Architectural/Construction Designer

We are seeking an enthusiastic Mid-Level Architect/Designer with 6 - 14 years' experience, who thrives in a fast-paced and team-focused working environment. Employees of all levels are involved in every aspect of design from concept through construction. Ability to work autonomously to complete Design, Documentation and Construction Administration tasks on smaller projects, utilizing staff support as needed. Tasks include the preparation of drawings and specifications, field verification/assessment, making recommendations and writing reports.
For larger projects of greater complexity, leads and supervises the work of a team, mentoring and guiding junior-level staff throughout the process. Coordinates closely with Project Technical Leads/PMs as required, to meet overarching project objectives.
Strong design, detailing, technical skills and a comprehensive understanding of architectural specifications, International Building Codes, Life Safety Code and ADA requirements. Ability to develop envelope and code strategies that meet schedule and budget objectives, working autonomously or with Project Technical Leads.
Conducts technical and design presentations to clients, agencies and stakeholders.
Coordinates regularly with engineers, consultants and extended teams to ensure full coordination and timely delivery of all aspects of project. Coordinates with Project Technical Leads/PMs regarding project planning and staffing. Maintains understanding of project profitability and contract scope and identifies potential scope creep.
Professional degree in Architecture and 6 years minimum related work experience.
Knowledge of REVIT, Bluebeam, Procore and cloud-based Spec Writing software.
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
