Defense Commissary Agency
Teller position in the commissary store within the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) control and account for all funds received and deposited daily as part of commissary store operations.

Help
Counts change fund, sets up cash drawers, and verifies the accuracy of each drawer.
Turns on the master cash control processor and sets up the office terminal(s) for the day's business.
Operates cash register, as needed.
Periodically checks cash register drawers to prevent extensive fund accumulation.
Bags and seals cash and checks, makes up change list for secure pick up and deposit.

Counts and verifies change fund and sets up cash drawers for the Sales Store Checkers (cashiers).
Issues cash drawers to cashiers assuring proper action codes have been input to activate the cash register and cashier's account.
Bags and seals cash and checks for security pick-up and deposit.
Insures deposit tickets are properly completed and deposits are verified against the account.
Receives funds in the form of paper currency, coins, checks, redeemable coupons, food stamps and credit slips.

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) basic requirement and qualifications for series 0530 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date.
Basic Requirement: (1) A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field, or (2) At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
Qualifications: Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of experience applying Federal laws, regulations, policies, procedures and general business practices to buy and sell goods and services in support of the mission, and using innovative techniques to develop contractual arrangements (specialized experience) equivalent to at least GS-11. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
2) Lift, push, pull, carry, and handle items weighing up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally over 40 pounds with assistance.
