The Emergency Room Technician assists and augments the registered nursing staff in providing high quality patient care in the Emergency Room. You generate alternatives - Create relevant options, including financial and resource implications, for addressing problems and opportunities. You commit to implementation and work with a sense of urgency and a bias for action to implement the decision.

High school graduate or equivalent

Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform a variety of patient assistance without direct supervision.

Emergency Medical Technician (Basic EMT-B); Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), and/or student nurse that is currently enrolled in an RN program and has started clinical rotations.

Job Type/FTE: Full-Time/(0.9 FTE) 12-hour shifts

Shift: Days, 11a-11:30p, every other weekend

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
