Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor located in Danville, Virginia. This position involves providing acute patient care on a 24-bed unit serving patients of all ages. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and should have at least 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience.
Job Details:
Location: Danville, VA
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 12-hour shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in Virginia; BLS (Basic Life Support), HWC (Health and Welfare Certification, available on-site), NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification; at least 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of Medical/Surgical experience
Additional Information: Orientation sessions occur bi-weekly on Tuesdays at scheduled dates; all travelers must have required certifications prior to start. The unit serves a diverse patient population with a patient ratio of 1:6, on a 24-bed unit. The facility is a 250-bed community hospital with advanced specialty services, and is recognized for exemplary stroke and chest pain care. Candidates must be located at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered. Candidates must consent to random drug screening and complete a criminal questionnaire/consent form.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
