Speech language pathologist- Remote therapy

divh2Speech and Language Pathologist/h2pstrongSpeech and Language Pathologist: $1500 Stipend for CCC Credentials and 1 day a week remote work/strong/ppSupports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. To provide services for special education students with communication disorders of speech, language, voice and fluency./ph3Major Tasks/h3ulliParticipates in staffing procedures./liliProvides appropriate report method to meet procedural requirements (evaluation reports, progress reports, written IEP)/liliDevelops and implements an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for each student who has been diagnosed as needing therapy of this kind./liliConducts regularly scheduled conferences with parents and teachers for the purpose of developing and monitoring the IEP./liliDevelops, prepares and utilizes appropriate materials to support therapy approach./liliProvides therapy to help students achieve better communication./liliAssists teachers, parents and other specialists by providing strategies and suggestions to improve effective communication./liliProvides ongoing training for teachers and paraprofessionals to implement a variety of communication strategies, devices and technology./liliEducates staff according to speech language impairments, guidelines for eligibility of SLI services and federally funded mandated paperwork./liliProvides training and supervision to speech/language paraprofessionals implementing therapy programs./liliMaintains appropriate records to meet procedural requirements including data collection and MIPS./liliAttends and participates in regularly scheduled meetings conducted by the Special Education Director, including SLP department meetings, Sp. Ed. Meetings, district wide meetings, SST meetings and school site meetings if needed or appropriate to our field (when relevant)./liliMaintains professional competence through inservice/staff developmental education provided by the District and/or self-selected professional growth activities (ArSHA ASHA)./liliWhen applicable or appropriate, responsible for programming augmentative communication devices and helping to determine the appropriateness of the device./liliMay be in contact with private speech pathologists who service students, to discuss common therapy goals, techniques and progress./liliMay need to contact private schools that are servicing CCUSD district children to discuss progress reports, IEPs, etc./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3p Valid AZ Speech and Language Therapy certificate or Professional certificate, effective January 1, 2007/ppPREFERRED MS/MA degree from an accredited institution with a major (or equivalent) in speech and language/ppCertificate of Clinical Competence/ph3Supervision/h3pReceived from: Director of Special Education/ph3Evaluation/h3pAt least once annually by the administrator in accordance with the policy of the Governing Board./p/div
