Operations (Cloud Engineering)

ASRC Agile Decision Sciences is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Operations Engineer to join the SSDS team in Moorestown, NJ.This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies, who can also collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Responsibilities:Manage and support containerized environments using Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on Kubernetes clusters Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments Work with development, security, and product teams to plan, deploy, and maintain servicesDocument operational procedures and create clear runbooks Proficient with scripting languages such as Bash, Python. Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher (in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field) or equivalent related work experienceThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance; Citizenship is requiredThis position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s)5-7+ years’ experience Cloud Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOpsHands-on experience with Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose in production environmentsSolid experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clustersProficient with scripting languages such as Bash, PythonExperience with version control tools, we use GitStrong skills with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as EclipseExperience with monitoring/logging tools, like Prometheus and GrafanaStrong understanding of networking, security, and IAM in cloud environmentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to explain technical issues clearly to both engineers and non-engineersComfortable participating in team planning meetings, and stakeholder updatesFamiliar with driver-based and automated test environmentsExperience with the following is considered a plus:Terraform, Ansible)Familiarity with Podman in rootless environments Experience with operating IL5/IL6 compliance environments Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP Prior experience in high-availability or regulated environments (e.g.,
