Security Professional - Afternoon Evening Shift

Join our team at Cook Children's where every day is an opportunity to protect patients, families, visitors and staff while helping create a safe and welcoming environment for healing.
As a Security Officer, you'll serve as a trusted presence throughout the hospital while helping protect those who need it most. Responsible to the Director of Security for providing routine security patrol; interacting with Police and Fire officials; and representing the Medical Center in a polite, friendly, professional manner to patients, family members, visitors, employees, and the general public.
The personal safety of all patients, visitors, medical staff, volunteers and employees of the hospital.
The protection of personal property belonging to all patients, visitors, medical staff, volunteers and employees of the hospital.
The protection of the physical privacy of all patients, visitors, medical staff, volunteers and employees of the hospital.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 6 months security experience.
Willing and qualified to pass IAHSS Basic Security exam within 18 months of hire.
Willing and qualified to be commissioned by the Texas Commission of Private Security within 90 days of hire.
