RN - School Nurse (Nights)

Education Required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Work Experience Required None.
Certifications Required Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Good organizational and time management skills; ability to be self-directed.
Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
Job Duties Effectively use the nursing process in delivery of patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
Use data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal outcomes.
Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, improving the profession of nursing.
Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy, and tailoring communication of services or procedures.
Perform other related duties as required.
Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements; ensure compliance.
Maintain compliance with the company’s Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct.
Physical and Environmental Demands Heavy work: exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, communicable diseases, hazardous medications, hazardous waste. Requires walking or standing significant degree, pushing/pulling materials even if weight negligible.
