Internal Job Title: Senior Project ManagerLocation: League City - Texas, (Marina Plaza)I Status: Full-Time, Exempt I Work arrangement: OnsiteReports to: Assistant Vice President, Annuity Solutions Delivery Leveling Note: This position is approved at the Senior Project Manager level and may be filled at a level II or level III (Job levels below Senior) based on candidate qualifications, experience, and business need. American National is seeking a highly organized and relationship-driven Project Manager to support high-priority strategic projects across the organization. This role will coordinate complex initiatives, align cross-functional teams, manage timelines and risks, and help drive successful delivery from project initiation through closeout.The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, including business leaders, IT, infrastructure, finance, treasury, vendors, and other project teams. This person should be able to build relationships quickly, respectfully influence others, and keep work moving forward in a fast-paced environment with multiple active projects.What You Will DoLead and coordinate medium to large strategic projects from initiation through execution and closeoutPartner with business areas, operational leaders, IT teams, vendors, and key stakeholders to define scope, timelines, deliverables, risks, and action plansOrganize project kickoff meetings, status meetings, follow-ups, and stakeholder touchpoints to keep workstreams alignedTrack project tasks, milestones, workflows, budget updates, risks, issues, and overall progress toward completionFacilitate communication across multiple teams and help remove barriers that may impact project deliverySupport project governance, reporting, and documentation, including status updates, percent complete, budget tracking, and project closeout activitiesAdapt project management approach based on project needs, including traditional waterfall environments and teams operating in agile frameworksWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degreeSix to eight years of project management experience, preferably managing medium to large projects from initiation through execution and closeoutStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across teamsHighly organized, proactive, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple active projects at one timeExperience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, technical teams, and business partnersAbility to respectfully push for progress, follow up on outstanding items, and keep teams accountable without being off-puttingExperience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of project lifecycle, governance controls, and project reporting practicesPreferred QualificationsProject Management Professional certification or demonstrated understanding of project management methodologyScrum certification or working knowledge of agile practicesExperience with Azure DevOps or similar project tracking toolsExperience managing IT-related projects, system implementations, document migrations, infrastructure projects, vendor coordination, or project conversionsExperience working in financial services, insurance, or another complex corporate environment is helpful but not requiredWhy Join UsOpportunity to manage visible, high-priority projects that support business and technology objectivesCollaborative environment with exposure to multiple business areas and leadership stakeholdersJobFamilyProject ManagementPayTypeSalaryEmploymentIndicatorIndividual Contributor
