Summary
The Limited Radiographer provides high-quality clinical and diagnostic services. This position delivers both direct and indirect patient care, performs general diagnostic radiologic exams, and supports clinic operations through clinical, technical, and clerical functions. The Limited Radiographer works under the supervision of medical providers and registered nurses, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general diagnostic radiologic exams including chest, spine, skull, extremities, abdomen, and select specialty procedures.
Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety, shielding, and clear instructions.
Operate portable and stationary imaging equipment; perform specialty procedures as needed.
Review and prioritize exam requisitions, including STAT orders.
Safely handle radiology equipment and materials; prepare contrast agents.
Upload DICOM images to PACS and verify exam accuracy.
Monitor patients condition during exams and notify providers of any changes.
Assist providers with procedures (splinting/casting, suturing support, foreign body removal, pelvic or eye exams).
Educate patients on relevant health topics and support basic care needs (disrobing, oxygen, dressings).
Support clinic operations such as lab work (PRN), urine tests, medication renewals, and indigent medication program coordination.
On job training will be provided.
Clerical & Administrative Support
Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, exams, and procedures; mail reminders as needed.
Provide courteous communication to patients in person and by phone.
Maintain and document supply levels; order supplies as required.
Track and monitor medication expiration dates and maintain logs for refrigerators/freezers, glucometers, and narcotics.
Perform radiology clerical duties including scheduling, maintaining exam logs, making CDs/films, and entering charges in the EHR.
Participate in interdepartmental communication with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, lab, admissions, and other teams.
Safety, Compliance & Professional Standards
Follow all facility protocols, HIPAA requirements, and regulatory standards.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment including exam rooms, equipment, and linens.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and complete required emergency checklists.
Suggest process improvements for quality and patient safety.
Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and completion of assigned duties.

Requirements
Required
Current CNA certification in the state of Idaho; or
Certified as a Certified Medical Scribe; or
Current LPN certification in the state of Idaho;
CPR or BLS certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred
Graduation from an AMA approval school of Radiologic, technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained;
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
