Lake Prince Woods, an award-winning retirement community in Suffolk, Virginia, is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Medication Aide (RMA) to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care team. Position Summary The Registered Medication Aide is responsible for administering medications to residents in a timely and accurate manner while following all Medication Administration policies and procedures. Working under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and the Director of Assisted Living, the RMA supports residents' health, safety, and overall well-being in accordance with physician orders, company policies, industry standards, and state and federal regulations.
Administer medications in accordance with Medication Administration policies and procedures
Accurately document medication administration and resident observations
Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff
Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
Ensure resident safety, comfort, and dignity at all times
Follow physician orders and individualized care plans
Maintain compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards
Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum of three (3) months of experience in basic nursing assistant procedures preferred

Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program and competency evaluation
Successful completion of facility orientation program
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Current required in-service training
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to resident needs
