Cashier Position at Mother's Market

The Cashier at Mother's Market provides exceptional customer service while accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions. Cashiers are ambassadors of Mother's Market's mission, creating a welcoming, friendly, and health-conscious shopping experience for every guest. Wage Range: $17-$20/hour Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & in-store discounts Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service

Accurately process purchases, returns, and exchanges using the POS system

Handle cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment responsibly

Answer customer questions regarding products, promotions, and store policies

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area

Support bagging and assisting customers as needed

Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and food-handling standards

Promote Mother's Market values, including wellness, sustainability, and community

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic math skills and attention to detail

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift

Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs

Exposure to cold temperatures (refrigeration areas)
