LPN - General Nursing; Full Time

Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse – Multiple Shifts. Full‑time position eligible for State Benefits. Work hours 7:00 am – 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:30 am.

Responsibilities include providing general direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals and patients. The role involves medical treatments, administering medication and injections, supervising support staff, and performing various patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing, hygiene assistance, vital sign monitoring, and preparing chart entries. The LPN works as part of a health‑care team to assess needs, plan care, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.

Provides general direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals/patients.

Administers medical treatments, medication, injections, and intravenous fluids.

May supervise and/or direct support staff.

Records medication and fluid administration times and amounts on individual charts.

Responds to patient calls and determines how best to assist.

Assists patients with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, positioning, and ambulation.

Measures and records vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).

Charts changes in conditions, including adverse medication reactions, and takes appropriate action.

Performs basic treatments—dressing wounds, treating bedsores, administering enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, massages, and catheterizations.

Documents food and fluid intake and output.

Collaborates with the health‑care team to assess, plan, modify care and implement interventions.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensed by the State of Georgia and/or holding a Nurse Licensure Compact Multi‑State License enabling practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Georgia.

Experience working in an adult mental health care facility is a plus but not required.

Employment Requirements
