Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer supporting an Air Force acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Armament Directorate Munitions Division (AFLCMC/EBH) at Hill Air Force Base, UT. In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide mechanical engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle to ensure weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment meet program objectives for cost, schedule, performance, and compliance.
This is a full-time onsite position at Hill AFB, Utah.
Provide mechanical/aerospace/materials engineering support across the acquisition, development, and sustainment lifecycle.
Apply advanced engineering principles to ensure technical efforts align with program objectives, cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
Assist with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and technical recommendations supporting system and equipment performance.
Support planning and execution of complex engineering tasks involving:
Mechanical wear, Fatigue, Corrosion
Assist in the generation and interpretation of technical data packages, including 2D drawings and 3D models .
Support testing, evaluation, life prediction, and standardization of materials and material properties used in engineering design.
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Must have and be able to maintain an active Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 7 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 5 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 20 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 15 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 5 years of relevant experience

Mechanical engineering fundamentals (Statics, Dynamics, Wear, Fatigue, Corrosion, Tribology)
Fluid dynamics and thermodynamics analysis
Technical data package review (2D drawings, 3D models)
Materials engineering concepts including life prediction and standardization
Engineering support for acquisition, development, and sustainment programs
Travel: Travel may be required at the customer's discretion

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
