REQUIREMENTS

Active Respiratory Therapist license in good standing

Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential

Current BLS Certification

ACLS Certification preferred

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Previous hospital, acute care, critical care, or travel experience preferred

Experience with ventilator management and oxygen therapy preferred

Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

Excellent communication and patient care abilities

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders

Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments

Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators and airway support equipment

Perform diagnostic testing, including arterial blood gases and pulmonary assessments

Respond to emergency situations and participate in rapid response and code teams as required

Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and disease management

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans

Monitor patient progress and communicate significant changes in condition
