Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040

Mother/Baby / Postpartum / Couplet Care

Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Float Expectations: May float to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery recovery areas as needed

Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend days per contract

Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission

Compact RN license accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, postpartum, or high-acuity postpartum nursing experience required

High-risk obstetric experience required

Epic charting experience required

Experience with postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium therapy, Pitocin, Foley care, and substance withdrawal preferred

Must be willing to float as needed within the care network

Must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays

Provide compassionate, high-quality postpartum nursing care and couplet care to mothers and newborns

Monitor recovery following delivery and support the transition from labor and delivery to postpartum care

Assess fundus, lochia, perineum, and incision sites, and provide appropriate nursing interventions

Administer and monitor medications and therapies such as Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin

Recognize and respond to postpartum hemorrhage and other high-risk obstetric complications

Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong communication with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Collaborate with support services to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered care

Adapt quickly to changing census demands while maintaining excellent patient care standards
