Job Description
The Labor and Delivery / OBED unit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join their team for a peak period assignment. This rapid response position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care in a high-risk environment. Nurses will work in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with a talented team to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and babies.
Responsibilities
Provide care for high-risk obstetric patients in a labor and delivery setting.
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal well-being using intermediate fetal monitoring skills.
Administer medications including magnesium and insulin drips.
Assist in both circulating and scrubbing roles during surgical procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems (CPN/Meditech).
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient care outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of travel experience in high-risk OB/L&D.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Intermediate), AWHONN.
Experience in an OBED setting and familiarity with high-volume cases are preferred.
