Travel assignment, 13 weeks, 12hr nights, 36 hours a week, starting November 23, 2026. Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $1,901 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,181.06 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. The clinical nurse provides competent nursing care for patients with complex needs while coordinating and delivering care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, care planning, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and maintaining a safe care environment.

Job Details

Required Qualifications:

Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing school

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)

At least two years of current intermediate care experience

At least one year of nursing experience

Willingness to care for intermediate care patients

Proficiency in patient assessment, patient education, clinical nursing care, the nursing process, and patient care

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school

Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week

Additional Information:

Provides care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.

Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan.

Assesses patient and family learning needs, readiness to learn, developmental level, and discharge needs.

Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary resources to develop and update plans of care.

Participates in performance improvement activities, professional development, and unit goal achievement.

Uses established nursing standards, policies, procedures, and communication systems to promote continuity of care and patient safety.
