Job Description
Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from 5th through 12th grade in a dynamic educational setting near scenic Lakebay, WA. This full-time role is ideal for passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) with a background in school-based therapy.
As a valued team member, you'll collaborate with educators and other professionals, providing essential occupational therapy support designed to foster student independence and academic success. With a 35-hour work week, you'll have the opportunity to impact a diverse group of learners and help them develop the skills they need to thrive.
Desired Qualifications:
Active COTA certification and licensure to practice in Washington
Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Familiarity with IEPs and adaptation of therapeutic strategies to suit individual needs
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in grades 5-12 as outlined in their IEPs
Assist in assessments, documentation, goal development, and progress monitoring
Provide classroom and group-based interventions to promote participation and functional skills
Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
Consult with staff and families, offering recommendations and training as needed
Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with school and state requirements
