Human Resources Generalist, Payroll and Recruitment

Job Summary Nidec AMEC is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist II to serve as the onsite HR anchor for our Troy, Michigan office. This role requires a balance of tactical execution and strategic support and includes daily HR operations such as payroll, compensation and benefits, policy management, organizational development, manager coaching, and cross-border recruitment support for manufacturing and operational sites in Mexico.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a strong plus).
Experience: 3-5 years progressive experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP) and payroll systems; strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
familiarity with Mexican labor laws is a bonus.
independent work under moderate supervision; handles smaller, less complex projects.
Leadership & Talent Management: Provides guidance, training, review of entry-level employees; leads parts of less complex projects or processes.
