Medical Laboratory Technician
This is a 13-week contract position.
Nights - 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts, alternating weekends. No call, floating to lab required.
The Medical Laboratory Technician performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various disease states. This role involves following standardized procedures, preparing samples for testing, and analyzing test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. The technician is expected to utilize their skills and experience in a laboratory setting, contributing to the overall patient care process.

Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples.
Follow standardized procedures for sample preparation and testing.
Analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and acceptability.
Report results to physicians and assist in clinical decision-making.

One year of experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
Associate degree from an accredited Medical Lab Technician program or equivalent.
Valid MLT certification through Tennessee State Licensure, ASCP, AMT, AAB, HHS, or an equivalent accrediting agency required; TN State license preferred.
Experience in chemistry, hematology, and blood bank preferred.
