Mechanical Engineer – Pipeline Project Engineer

We're hiring a Mechanical / Pipeline Project Engineer to support the design and execution of pipeline systems and facilities from concept through construction. What You'll Do

Design and support installation of natural gas and liquids pipeline systems, including valves, pigging facilities, compressor stations, and measurement/regulation equipment
Develop alignment drawings and coordinate with survey, ROW, and environmental teams to ensure constructability
Perform engineering calculations such as pipe sizing, wall thickness, buoyancy, and hydrostatic testing
Create material takeoffs, specs, and bills of materials to support procurement and construction
Contribute to project scoping, cost estimates, and scheduling
Support HDD design and road/rail crossing analysis
Develop bend requirements and field construction guidance
Prepare and evaluate hydrostatic test plans to ensure system integrity
Review drawings, provide design input, and support multidisciplinary coordination
Interface directly with clients and support project meetings and design reviews
Assist with subcontractor coordination, tracking, and reporting
What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
• 5+ years of pipeline design experience (natural gas and/or liquids)
• Strong experience in pipeline engineering calculations and design
• Experience developing alignment sheets, construction docs, and material takeoffs
• Working knowledge of DOT, API, and related pipeline codes/standards
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, ROW, environmental, and survey teams
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with clients and project teams

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
