Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to support our water and wastewater operations in Forsyth County. This role is responsible for driving EHS compliance, reducing risk, delivering training, and fostering a strong safety culture across multiple project sites.

As the Environmental Health & Safety Specialist, you will coordinate and oversee environmental, health, and safety programs while supporting project operations through proactive risk management, training, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead and support environmental, health, and safety programs at assigned facilities.

Conduct site audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations.

Coordinate regulatory inspections and reporting requirements.

Deliver EHS and DOT training programs for employees and contractors.

Maintain EHS records, systems, and training documentation.

Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3-7 years of EHS or safety management experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
• Experience developing SOPs, conducting training, and managing compliance programs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
• Ability to travel regularly to project sites.
